Thank goodness for my Apple peeler!

Last Saturday, I was running around town looking for an apple peeler. I found the last one at Bi-Mart! 20 bucks and 4 hours later I got just two quarts of apples sauce! That's all! Thanks to our Hibbert friends, they have a ton of apples and invited us to come back for more.

The lids sealed! Yipee! (This is my first time canning all by myself)

That's funny you made applesauce! I've been thinking about that a lot lately. I try to go on a walk every day, and I always walk by all these houses with apple trees in their yards. The trees are loaded with apples, as well as apples rotting all over their yard. I would love to go pick some--especially since it appears those people don't! I found a couple recipes for applesauce in my crockpot cook book. I'm glad you can get a bunch of apples. Homemade is the best! I like it chunky like Grandma used to make--Yum! (Good job canning too! It's fun isn't it!)

Peeler's are the best!!! I helped my mother-in-law hand peel 2 buckets full last summer. It was not fun. Juice running down our arms ehhhh... :) Yay for canning... Way to go!

YUM-MY!! I like that apple-peeler. I got one from Sherrill, who got it from my parents, who got it from my grandma, but I have yet to learn how to use it. I'll have to try it soon. Any tips? Was it hard?

I had some of this applesauce, and it was the best I've ever had in my whole life forever for reals. Summer is the Applesauce Queen!
