4th of July

Uncle Mark and Glen gave quad rides to the kids.

We all got together with the cousins. We had 16 kids total...most of them were 6 years and younger. It was so fun.

Later in the evening we set them up with blankets and they huddled together to watch the Chandler Firework show. It was so fun. One of the funnest family gatherings for me. After we were done, we watched the big show that the college puts on. Amazingly, Gretchen stayed awake and was just happy being all bundled up in the stroller watching the show.

I found it in the grass . .

I told the kids it was taking a nap. hahahahh poor bird. I think this bird flew right into our garden window and got the crap scared out of it and then fell onto the ground. (The evidence was left on the window.) ick!

The kids love playing in the sprinkler and eating those vanilla/orange serbet cups and popsickles. I love watching them. I set up two sprinklers. One that's Gretchen's size and one for the other two. We also put it under the trampoline.

I'm taking more time to do fun things with and for the kids rather than get things done that I "should" be doing. I'm way behind on laundry and house cleaning and all that boring stuff, but I just want to take advantage of the nice weather. Winter seemed so long and I have a feeling it's going to sneak up on us before we know it.

Glen has lost 25+ pounds. He wants to lose 10 more pounds and then he'll be right where he was when we got married. I'm proud of him for sticking to the diet.

Beautify your surroundings

That's what we're doing. This morning we went out and got these flowers and planted them here. Before these, we had some trays that we tried growing strawberries in but they all turned to weeds. It was ugly and now, we just love to stand outside and admire the different flowers and colors. It was so fun to pick them out.

Our rose bushes are really taking off. I got these on clearance for half price. We planted them between each Iris plant. I love the vibrant colors!

I'm now 12 weeks along and to my surprise the morning sickness is over! I thought it was going to last to 14 weeks. so glad it didn't. As long as I eat on time I'm okay! i'm starting to show. I'm not quite big enough to switch to maternity clothes. It will be fun when I am (until that last month! it's the worst) because I think my maternity clothes are alot cuter than my normal ones. hahhahah

HEre is one of the sun dresses I got. This is my favorite color besides green. I love this color! I don't know why it never occured to me until now that I could wear a dress during the week. For some reason I always had it in my mind that dresses are for sunday. Now, I wear a dress almost every day. It's light, comfortable during the 90 degree weather.

Jack and Ginger are proud of their new sunglasses. Jack is also proud of his new toy story shoes and new shirt gramma faye sent. I just think he looks so cute here. His little boy leggies are so cute!

Haven't posted much about Chester so here ya go. He's getting big and heavy! He's really good around Gretchen. He's excited when we first come outside but when he gets over the initial excitement of having our company he is very calm and great with the kids.
