Christmas

Didn't know Borax could form crystals on pipe cleaners like this. (Thanks Wendy for the idea on your facebook page).

The kid love this hippo game.  The shark dentist one is fun too! i'll have to get a pic of that soon!

Indianapolis Zoo and Childrens Museum

the zoo was fun. we got to go indoors for a dolphin show. reminded me of sea world. i loved the lights in the evening. everything was all lit up.

we saw a 15 minute 3D movie of a Mammoth Christmas (ice age). Oscar got scared when his seat shook and vibrated. he climbed up in my lap. He also reached out to tough the characters. so cute!

This museum has four levels and tons of exhibits. We went on a free day so the place was packed. It was fun to check it out.

the kids loved it. it was hard to peel them away and get them to move on to the next exhibit. It felt like we were at disney land. there were lines for everything! at least we didn't pay a dime though. it would have cost our family 70-80 dollars on a normal day.

Ginger's 7th birthday

She loved making these adorable water globes.
We went to see Frozen on her birthday. What a cute show. She cant wait to see it again.
We saw the show in 3d.  Gretchen took her glasses off several times because she got scared. hahahh Jack and Ginger thought the 3D was really neat.

I love homeschooling!

This is what I spent my saturday doing.  Making up these cute "Take it to your seat" Centers. I bought the Literacy themed book off amazon. It tells you right what you need to make these. I also made their "take it to your seat" folders and next I'll do their shoebox ones once i get a hold of some shoe boxes.

This is my box system I use for ginger.  I got the idea right off of Confessions of a Homeschooler blog.  Her blog is the best! so helpful!!

We do science a few times a week.  This past week we were learning all about magnets.  The kids loved this activity. All of them joined in.  I was so excited that even though Oscar doesn't say much, he definately knows whats going on.

The kids thought it was magic when I played with a magnet behind a cookie sheet and made the paper clip move around.  They all were anxious for a turn.
I love days like this where they all want to participate and they all sit in chairs and i feel like I taught them something.
