Our Anniversary

Four years ago...
Four years later, moving from a house of our own to my parents basement to an RV in the in-laws backyard to an apartment to sharing a house with brother-in-law and to now move into our own house once again and 2 1/2 kids later. We sure have had our share of changes and adaptations and "growing experiences", but I would not choose any other to go through these times with.
I'm so grateful for a husband who is willing to grow and change for the better and who is patient enough to put up with me until I can do the same.

Happy Birthday to Glen!

My hubby is the big 35!
Now this cake doesn't look fancy and the carebear candle is what I could find around the house, but this cake is soooooooooo good!
It's what Glen wanted so that's what he got and I was happy to make it!

I'm so glad I get to be the one to celebrate this day with him. Glen is so fun and such a good dad and husband. I'm so glad he picked me to be his wife and to share his life with!

FHE Idea

Glen had a fun idea of making caramel apples for family home evening. We got this caramel kit at Safeway and it is GOOD caramel!!
I don't ever remember making caremel apples. I discovered that I really like them!

Ginger did too! We had to remind her that she needed to eat the apple with the caramel. :)

Just the four 1/2 of us!

We woke up early Saturday and all hopped in the boat to go fishing. It was so peaceful and pretty!
We started catching fish within five minutes of being there. It was fun to catch the fish but even if we didn't catch any, it was still a treat to just be up at the lake.

Flying Kites!

When is the last time you flew a kite?! I think the last time I flew a kite I was in elementry school!
My sister gave me this strawberry shortcake kite and it finally made it's way out of the package!

Here is Glen running to keep the kite afloat!
I told Ginger to start running when I threw the kite up and she ran clear across the field and just kept going until her little leggies wore out!

I forgot how fun it is to fly a kite!

This Little Stinker!

This little stinker is trying to walk! He just started standing by himself. He is still working on that, but with our little walker, he can walk across the room! He seems too short to be walking!
I can't believe he will be a year old in another month and a half! The first six months seemed like forever! But after that, time flew!
We sure love this little guy!

Here's my cuter diaper bag!

I don't know if you guys remember me making this same diaper bag (just different fabric) about this time of year last year, but Glen told me it looked like it came from Zimbabwe.
So, I decided with the next baby I wanted a more cutsie bag and I just love the cherry fabric!!
one of the upgrades I made was to use the magnetic closure instead of velcro. I have a hard time sewing velcro. The needle just gets too gummed up!
