photoshop fun!

 here is a character i made up.

Dinosaur eggs

 This was a hit with all the kids. I got this idea from another homeschooling blog.
I stuffed a dinosaur in a water balloon and then fill with water and freeze.  so neat huh!
Then I went a step further and added food coloring to some of the "eggs" and confetti to others. (don't have pictures of those darn it.  )

Geologist for a day

 I thought it would be fun to get this little kit for Ginger to help her learn about rocks and minerals and what geologists do.

 She worked at at for a long time and then got tired.  So I worked on it and then let Jack and Gretchen have a go.  no rocks were found. so we all took turns again and then finally a rock was spotted.

 Eleven total. A poster came with the kit that gave tips on how to identify the rocks and test their hardness. Ginger loved this activity. The rocks were quite smaller than I expected, but Ginger was not disappointed one bit.

 oscar had a ball leading the others in throwing all 3,000 of the orbeeze all over the room. you may be wondering what i was doing at the time.  i was in the kitchen taking notes from a friend about how to be better at homeschooling.hahahahahah

 so, i couldn't just throw the orbeez out. i thought it would be fun to see what they would look like all frozen.  each one was surrounded by its own ball of ice.  i thought it was cool.
