Turbo Kick Kicked my butt!

My friend Shannon and I have been going to the gym trying out different classes they offer. We thought it would be fun to try out the Turbo Kick class last night. It was alot of fun. Bouncing around and hopping side to side made me feel younger, but being a couple moves behind the rest of the class made me feel older..I just couldn't keep up with everyone. We ended the class with an ab. workout. Wowch! My stomach was burning. I had to take several breaks while everyone else was keeping up with the teacher. That night, I went home, ate dinner and then my stomach started hurting really bad. I had really bad sharp pains. It reminded me of contractions. I wasn't sure what was going on at first..I thought maybe I ate too many chocolate oaties or that maybe I didn't drink enough water. Glen called it though. He told me to lay on my stomach and stretch upwards. 15 minutes later the pain disappeared.
When I went to class this morning, Shannon said she had the same thing. She thought that maybe she had been pregnant and was miscarrying. I think we learned a lesson here. .we're all progressing at different levels, so don't compare yourself to others or worry about what others might think of you or you might get hurt. (hmmmm ....could this be an introduction for a talk at church?...maybe if I go to church with an empty cereal box to be filled ;) (Melissa and Rachael, were you guys there that sunday when the speaker talked about bringing an empty cereal box to church to be filled? Eversince that talk, Glen and I have joked about it. We just thought it was so funny and we were just imagining someone out in the audience saying to themselves.."Cereal Boxes! I finally get it!" hahahha

Beware!

Just a warning to you fellow bloggers about the sparkling widgets. You know those green sparkling roses at the top of my page? ...well, I have tried all sorts of ways to remove those dumb roses and nothing works. I've looked for the html code for the roses and have erased parts of the code and and even my header and they're still there! Stupid Roses! I've even found that other bloggers have had the same problem with the sparkling widgets. So, just so you know, use them at your own risk.

This is a fun one!

It took me a couple tries!

Aunt Holly Came to Visit

My younger sister, Holly came down to visit and go bike riding. The day we went riding up at Starkey, we ran into some fellows. I thought they looked funny because I didn't realize what they were doing until we got closer.
It's kind of like rollerblading but with mini ski skates. I asked them if I could take there picture...on a downhill. oops oh well. They didn't seem to mind, even though they didn't have brakes. It's not everyday you see some one skiing down the road out in the middle of no where.
They said this was there exercise to prepare to the winter sports.

Story Time

( THIS IS GINGER LISTENING INTENTLY TO THE STORY)
I started taking Ginger to Story Time at the library. She does pretty good. I think she likes to be around the other kids.
I like watching her to see how she interacts with the other kids. She's the smallest one there. I think she looks so cute sitting there with all the big kids.
Aunt Holly came to visit so she went with us to Story Time. She is sitting on the bench in blue.
This is Ginger trying to take the book that the little girl has.

I was just curious

I never heard of this movie before. hmm?

Which Leader do I resemble most?

Okay, so I took the long test version and my result was Ghandi. When I went to paste into my post, I lost it so I took it again and the test was different, but I still got Ghandi. I guess that's cool. Now I think it's even funnier that Rachael was Saddam. wa hahahhah! (Maybe you should take the test again Rachael,...when you're not pregnant.) :)

Little Ginger Rose

"Little Ginger Rose
arose up off her nose
she rolled around
until she found
her cutesy little toes

Little Ginger Rose
just grow and grows and grows
soon she'll be
as big as me

Summer Plays the Piano!

Every thursday my mother-in-law, Shari, gives me piano lessons. This is me playing "You Are My Sunshine."

Black Berry Pickin'

We got together with Glen's family to go blackberry pickin' for FHE again. Glen was all excited to go. This time he was going to go better prepared. He took his belt and taped it to our kitchen bowl and hung it around his neck so he could use both hands to pick berries.
Glen wanted to pick berries and pick them fast because he knew that the more he got, the more pie I could make. It's so funny to me how we are willing to pack everyone up and drive a half hour just to go pick berries. In Bremerton we could just walk outside and there they were.
This is Glen's mom, Shari, berry pickin'

We Can Start Building!

I submitted our house plans to the Building Dept. a few weeks ago and 5 days later they called to have me pick them up. Amazingly we got our stamp of approval!! I thought for sure they would have red marks everywhere telling us what we forgot to add. I was sooooo relieved. I was just dreading having to re-draw some of those drawings. Phase one is over!

2 hours 2 trips and $121.00 later

In all the places in the world, I hate DMV the most. The world would be a better place without all their stupid rules. Well, ...I guess some of thier rules are needed, but anyway,..I just want to vent a little. I do have to admit that the DMV in La Grande is way better than Bremerton. In both towns, they only have two employees working no matter how busy it gets. In La Grande though, the waiting room has never been full and I'm usually seen within 10 minutes where in Bremerton I'm seen no sooner than 20 minutes.
We've lived here for 6 months so I thought it was time to change our license plates. (I just learned today that I can pay 20 dollars to drive my car with a washington license around town for 20 days. After that I can't drive it until I get Oregon Licenses.) I failed to tell them that we've been living here for 6 months.
I thought that all I needed to bring with me was my registration and proof of insurance. They wanted the Title so I ran home and got the Title and came back. Then they wanted to verify the vin #. So they went to the car and came back and told me I had to scratch off the navy tabs that were covering the vin number. Meanwhile Ginger is getting hungry and tired of sitting in her carseat and I'm tired of lugging her back and forth from my car to the stupid DMV office. The lady came back from checking my car a second time and said that she couldn't see the numbers but she went ahead and scratched off more of the sticker. Gee, how nice of her to not make me go out a third time to scratch more of the sticker away. To end this story...two hours later, two trips to the DMV and $121.00 later, I got my Oregon License plates and tabs. I'm now officially an Oregonian and I hope to never have to go to a DMV for the rest of my life.

Recipe Contest Worthy? You Decide!

I had to share this recipe with you. It's soooo good. Its' taste will fool you. This is my low-sugar fat free dessert that is so creamy. One would feel guilty eating such a dessert if they didn't know my secret ingrediants! I've been told that my recipe is worthy of entering the Reader's Digest Recipe Contest.

Here's how you make it: Combine with wire whisk 1 cup cold water, 1 (14 oz) can of fat-free sweetened condensed milk, and 1 (1.5 oz) pkg. suger-free instant vanilla pudding mix. Cover and chill until firm (about 20 minutes). Remove plastic wrap and add 1 (8 oz) block of fat-free cream cheese, softened. Beat with mixer till blended. Gently fold in 1 (8 oz) tub thawed sugar-free/fat-free whipped topping and set aside.
Next, take sugar-free decaf suisse mocha drink mix and make up two cups worth and set aside. Take one block of angel food cake and slice it into thin bars as shown in picture below. Dip bars of angel food cake in drink mix and let soak a bit then place in bottom of 9x9 square pan. Spread half of the cream mixture over the first layer of angel food cake and then sprinkle cocoa on top. Repeat layers. Cover and refridgerate overnight.

I use angel food cake when I can't find ladyfingers. It works pretty good.
Here's what my set-up looks like
Now I just have to be patient and not get into it till tomorrow!

So I started to workout

I actually bought this pilates workout dvd a couple years ago. You know..one of those TV specials. I didn't use it much then. I didn't feel like it did much for me. But now, wow, I'm outa shape. I thought I'ld be good to go if I kept my cycling up, but I'm so sore now after doing the pilates. I really like this workout. It's just 20 minutes long.

Nerd or Dork?

I am nerdier than 47% of all people. Are you a nerd? Click here to find out!

Alright, so I saw this on Kaela's blog and thought it would be fun to take the nerd test. According to this test, I'm 47% nerd. Glen took it and he got 94% nerd. Then I took their new improved test and I didn't even get a nerd percentage. My test results labeled me as a Dork! I guess my friends are right. Even a test proves that I'm a true dork. (Is that better than being a nerd?)
