You know how "they" say you shouldn't potty train your kid when you're about to move or have a baby because they'll regress? Well, after some seasoned moms told me that the best thing to do is to let your kid decide when they are ready to use the potty, I dropped the issue with Ginger.
To my pleasant surprise, two weeks ago, (right during the process of packing up and moving our stuff over here) Ginger out of the blue says, "Oh, I have to go potty!". At the time, I didn't get my hopes up because she's had days here and there where she wants to use the toilet and then the next day she's too lazy to stop playing and do it.
Well, it's been two weeks now and I'm happy to say she is wearing her little tinkerbell undies during the day and now out when we run errands too! She still wears pull-ups at night and she isn't completely comfortable going #2 on the potty, so I keep a close eye on her. I really don't want to have her go poo in her undies.
The funny thing is, her little friend Christian is potty training now too. She started a few weeks earlier than Ginger. The first time Christian came over since we moved here, Ginger was all excited and wanting to show off her new toilet training skills. It was so funny.
I'm just really glad that this day has finally come and that I could put the training toilet away and just have her use the normal one. Washing that thing out was getting old!
