What's your Favorite Sandwich?

After talking to Rachel about lunch the other day, I got the idea to share our favorite sandwich. We call it the Sama sandwich or Salmon River Sandwich. This is because a restaurant in Riggins serves this sandwich and it is soooooooo good. Here's what you need.

French Bread, Montery Jack Cheese, Pinapple wedges, ham, mayo and chopped lettuce.

Put the ham on one side. Then the cheese on the pinapple on the other side and grill the bread in the toaster oven. Then add the mayo and lettuce and grab some sour cream and cheddar chips (our favorite chips) and there you have it! It is so good! '

If you see this post, please make a post about your favorite sandwich! :) I tag all of you fellow-bloggets

Talking on the phone

Ginger loves her little toy cell phone. It's so cute to watch her talk on the phone and make her little babble sounds.

Another video for family far away.

New Sneakers!

I just thought these were so cute! Little Baby shoes!
Is she a toddler now?.... :(
Ginger likes to crawl on her toy box to get up on the couch.

Here's a video for gramma and grampa!

Baby Walker

Now that Ginger is standing, I thought it would be good for her to have a walker.
I found this cute one a Walmart.

Home Made Chinese Food!

Glen's brother Scot wanted to make some chinese food, so all us Chandlers hopped on the ban wagon and volunteered to make different dishes. Glen and I learned how to make sushi! We made California rolls with smoked salmon and some with imitation crab. YUM. They turned out good! Safeway had all the stuff we needed. It was fun and easy to make. We finally got to use our sushi kit that we've had for a few years. Scot is the family chef. He made really good sweet and sour pork and lemon chicken etc.

Happy Birthday to Wendy!

Happy Birthday to Wendy!
Wendy is my older sister and is turning 29 today. I just want to tell her how much I love her and am grateful that she is my sister. I used to hang out in Wendy's room when we were younger. We would fall asleep talking on her bed and I would often wake up around 4am and finally go to my own bed. As she is my older sister, I would always look up to her and want to be like her. I wanted to wear the same perfume and listen to the same music. Though I tried to be like her, in many ways I wasn't. She was the more mature, responsible sibling. And I,...I was the clown, goofy and annoying. I loved teasing her and when I was older, I enjoyed going on double dates with her and her boyfriend.
FIVE THINGS I ADMIRE ABOUT WENDY
1. She plays the piano beautifully
2. She always remembers my birthday and everyone else's ontime! (Wendy, your package is in the mail as of today!)
3. She is always there to listen to me complain or to give me advice.
4. She has Star Mom qualities that I hope to aquire.
5. I love her dark hair, fair skin and huge smile

Before and After

One Year Later!
I almost forgot to post Ginger's one year pictures. Nelli Sudbrock took her pictures and did a great job. I think I have about a hundred shots. Nelli sold the copyright to me and chose a few favorites to edit and touch up. Here are a few of my favorites. You can visit Nelli's website at www.apicturetaken.com .

That little stinker!

Ginger loves to be in the kitchen and take the kitchen towels and put them on her head. She's so funny. She'll put the towel on her head and then just wait there a little while and then pull it off and act all excited. I think she's playing peek-a-boo with herself.

I miss taking Ginger on stroller rides. It was so pretty the last few days I decided to go to the park and let her swing....not for long though. It was pretty, but COLD!

House Update

Well, with all the wind (up to 60 mph) and snow, and people getting sick, it has been a challenge getting the roof on our house. We are excited to finally get the sheeting up. The guys were getting tired of shoveling snow out of the house every week.
We've learned our lesson. Never start a house in November! October at the latest!

Hot Dogs, Hot Chocolate, Sledding and Snow Mobiling

This past Saturday we went to Spring Creek to go sledding and snow mobiling with Glen's cousins. I've really enjoyed getting to know his cousins better. They are so fun to be with. I've never been snow mobiling before. It reminded me of riding on the sea doos (not sure how to spell that). When Glen took me for a ride, he thought it would be fun to do a jump. It was fun but scary when I landed half off the seat! I let out a nervous laugh.

Glen and I slid down the hill together on the inner tube. Troy is in the background. The hill doesn't look steep in the picture, but it was steep!
We want to adopt Bob and Laura's winter tradition of hot dogs, hot chocolate and inner tubing. It was a lot of fun. I even liked to just be out there where it was so pretty and sit by the fire and chat.

Chandler Manufacturing Inc. on the net!

( House that the Chandlers built)
Well, I finished. I made a website for Chandler Manufacturing Inc. ! To keep up with the times, we needed to have a way for people to be able to use a search engine and find Chandler Manufacturing Inc. on the net. Almost a year ago, Elizabeth made a blog about Chandler Maufacturing, but it just hasn't had the traffic that we thought it would. Though it's easy to get to if you know Elizabeth and her blog address. So we decided it was time to make a site that anyone could find whether you knew us personally or not.
I first made a free website. You can see it at www.freewebs.com/chandlerhomes
This was a good way to go to start out with (for practice). (The only website I have made is my own blog!) So I made this one and then had the guys look it over so I could make changes and fine tune it to the way they like it. Then (thanks to Nelli's recommendation) I went to Godaddy.com and made another site and purchased a domain and host. You can go here to see it. http://www.chandlermanufacturing.com/ I like this second site, but I think I like the first one better. Godaddy.com has excellent service! I called them up and only had to wait a minute before someone was ready to help me. I am still fine tuning some details so we can find it if we google search it and so the pictures don't take so long to show up on the photo album. Please check out both sites and tell me which one you like better. I would love the input. The info is the same. The layout is a little different though.

My little Pilgrim

Ginger is finally putting on some weight. I thought at first that maybe it was her new hair cut that made her face seem more round, but then I noticed her little belly poking out.

We just got her a little toy cell phone and she loves it. She acts like she's talking on the phone..it's so cute. She holds the phone and puts her elbow to her ear. Silly girl. I guess from her view point, that's probably how it looks when she sees me or Glen talk on the phone.

Ginger loves pulling herself up on furniture and getting into the bottom kitchen drawer where I keep all our measuring spoons and cups. She also like to open and close the cubboards.

Mini Iron

Glen got me this mini iron for Christmas. I used it for the first time last week and was pleased with how well it works. Our normal size iron is packed away somewhere. For this job though, all I needed was the mini iron. I had to hem up my pants. (no matter what size I tried on, they were all too long by 4 inches!)
This iron would have been so nice when making Ginger's doll.
It heats up fairly quickly and has a dial to set the temperature.

The doll my mom made

I would love to have the pattern to this doll and make one. This one is so much cuter than the one I made. My mom made three other dolls like this back when I was little. She doesn't have the pattern anymore. The arms and legs move. I looked on the internet once hoping to find a similar pattern. no luck yet.
