Here is my new and improved purse that stands all by itself. I like the fabric but I do like the fabric of my old purse better. At least this one doesn't look like it came from Africa somewhere. hahahhah
I'm going to miss my old purse..but it will be nice to have this new one with stiffer pockets. The old one was just to floppy..as you can see.
(if you want to make one, walmart has the pattern for cheap. It only takes a couple hours to make too! Thanks again to Melissa for sharing her purse making skills. )

Great job on the purse! I have to have leather purses. I don't know what it is about me. But I love the leather.
Oh nice stitching job too!
That's funny to see the difference- it makes a BIG difference to have it stiff I am sure! That looks hard though...also, love your diaper bag down below!! SO colorful- baby will love that :) Don't be insecure about it- flaunt it...it's amazing you can make it from scratch!!!
Haha, that's funny. Your purse can stand all by it's little selfy! Good job! You're doing lots of projects!
You've caught the sewing bug, Summer! Isn't it so fun to make things?!! I love it, too.
You did a nice little decorative stitch around the top of your bag. It looks good. I like the contrasting lining, too.
You old purse is like a body without the spirit. Your new purse is a body with somebody home. hahaha ♥
Your purse looks good! Such a difference from the diaper bag. :) I noticed the decorative stitching. Makes me want to make another one. I would put more pockets in mine and a little loop for my ladybug watch from Dad.
Great job!! It seems to me the Bennett girls are all the perfect homemakers- in a good way- you each inspire me so much!! I love how the bag turned out!!!
So cute! Looks like an awesome idea for Christmas gifts!
Great job, I just started making bags too. I caught the bug from my friend and got me a sewing machine and keep wishing I had more time to make bags!!
♥ It looks great! (I like the stiffer purse too) :)
